Sack Your Rivals at Xbox Madden 10

If learning about all the new stuff still hasn't made you excited about Xbox Madden 10, then maybe a visit to video gaming's not-so-distant past can put things into perspective. Yeah, it could be a bit cruel to constantly bag on older games as a means to elevate today's football video games. But it helps to see how much progress has been made in football video games, by taking a glance at the earliest video games and comparing them to Xbox Madden 10. Certainly, there was a huge, untapped market for football video games, when the first generation of console games made their debut. But the catch was, the power of the early video game consoles didn't exactly equal the imaginations and desires of those early hardcore gamers, so everyone had to settle for less. The buzzword for this one was "all the excitement" of the real thing, as the game publishers tried to sell their captive audience on this one. The characters on the gridiron are more suited to a sci-fi shooter than a football video game. Rough, but true. The brief glance at the pic gives you a taste, but believe me, what went on during an actual game was much more horrific. From a technological standpoint, things were so basic, that multiple players moving at once meant that the only thing extreme about this game was the flickering of the players. Sound effects didn't fare much better, with the "spectators" sounding more like a car with a busted muffler. Again, things like the scrolling screen wouldn't be a required part of any game for a while yet. In a short matter of time, the competitors entered the video game console field, and brought out their take on a more realistic football video game. It had made the necessary innovations to make sports video games some serious business - the characters were animated better, without the same graphical setbacks, and this time, there was a scrolling screen, a necessity for football video games. It wasn't there yet, though.

While it did tantalize the video game world with its improvements, it was still only a slight move in the right direction. It would take a few more years before anything like that took place. Technology had caught up, albeit slightly, to gamers' football desires, to the point where this game has taken on an iconic status for gamers today. Over the years, this was the yardstick by which all football video games were measured. Why this went supernova isn't hard to figure out - with actual offensive and defensive strategies, they brought in a new level of realism. With the improvements in both the sound and the graphics, gamers saw this as the first and last word in video football games. With the online revival, today's gamers are getting a taste of yesteryear - and loving it. That being said, as much as everyone digs that one, Xbox Madden 10 is in an entirely different league.

With the great strides in gaming, football video games have reached a level worthy of the fans. So, yeah, no point in calling out the old football games. We think you understand. They may have been flawed, but we needed those older games as a "springboard" to what we have today. Of course, Xbox Madden 10 has really kicked this one over the goal posts, which has the video game world pretty pleased. The reviews are as positive as the reaction from the gamers themselves - it's a hit with the fans as well as the video game sites. You want impressive admiration for Xbox Madden 10, see the reviews, which all use terms like"realistic and enjoyable." EA Sports has really concocted a Super Bowl sized hit with Xbox Madden 10, as expected. Don't let the naysayers shape your opinion - Xbox Madden 10 is a game for the ages. Xbox Madden 10 isn't just a great Xbox sports video game - it's an all-around great Xbox video game. With Xbox Madden 10, the debate over the best football video game can be laid to rest. Better still, the true gamers know that this is the arena which will separate the wheat from the chaff, after you play video games for money.

It's a great time to be an Xbox Madden 10 expert - now you can slug it out for some real money. Once you've reached your apex of acumen, you'll be the one scoring big - and filling up your wallet in the process.
